David's List

Learning Through Action was due to visit David's primary school with a behaviour project
("You're OK, I'm OK!").

Before the visit, the head teacher asked a group of nine and ten-year-olds to list what they thought was bullying.

Most children managed a couple of examples; half-a-dozen of David's peers managed four or five examples.

On the right is a transcript of David's list. (David's name has been changed to protect his identity.)

  23. Tease them because of their religion
  24. Tease people about their height
  25. Pretend to be their friend
