Active Learning At Its Best

Supporting Learning Through Action

Learning Through Action's work is extracurricular and non-statutory. We receive no direct Government funding, although Government departments, such as the Education and Skills, Health, and the Home Office, have endorsed our work over the years.

Most schools and other users of Learning Through Action's services (projects, workshops, training) contribute towards the cost.

However, in disadvantaged areas there is often no money available, irrespective of how much our work is needed and wanted.

Only with the help of our friends and supporters are we able to sustain our present level of service and make our workshops more widely available - locally, regionally, and, as and when we can, nationwide.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITES

Many companies and other bodies, large and not so large, have sponsored elements of our work over the years: from a sum to subsidise the cost of a team-day, or a number of team-days, in one or more local schools, to the annual employment costs of a 'gap-year' presenter; from the development costs of a new project, to a workshop tour of a specific area. Involvement can be as low or high key as desired. A number of companies simply make one-off donations towards our core costs – which are vitally important to our survival and are equally valued.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

Companies that share Learning Through Action's values may also support our work on an ongoing basis. Please call Narinder Marwaha, Centre Manager, on 0870 770 7985 preparatory to discussing with a Director-Trustee ways in which your company could get involved in LTA's programme of activities, and the opportunities for employee involvement, if required.
