Student comments (Year 10) - Special School (Deaf)
"Our Year 10 Peer Educators for RR&R confidently delivered a well planned and focussed training session to all staff on a Professional Training Day (October 2008). The session was enjoyable and fun with clear objectives and certainly achieved its intended outcomes of raising awareness of the RRSA award, rights respecting language, the UNCRC, student voice and much more. The training from Learning through Action was inspirational to the project and really set the scene with engaging and relevant activities and, equally importantly, generated enthusiasm, confidence and encouraged leadership qualities in our students. Our students used the "Dot game" with staff as well as adapting the Wish Tree as a vehicle for discussing "needs" and "wants". Their energy goes on - they are delivering an assembly to Years 7, 8 and 9 next week!"

"The ("You're OK, I'm OK!") session was great! Very enjoyable and has given us a lot of ideas to work on. Good to see all children participating."
Year 4 Class Teacher
"Many thanks for a fantastic visit - I really enjoyed my 'Circle Time' with KS2! I thought the (Learning Through Action) group were very good indeed - I'm certainly considering a booking to revamp our PSHE, their questioning methods and role play were particularly good. It was also great to meet you and get some context about where our children go when they leave us."

"Thank you for your excellent presentation to teachers from Pupil Referral Units and Tutorial Bases that you gave at the Professional Centre .... I hope that the result will be that you work with the majority, if not all, centres that provide for these vulnerable people (across the County)."
